Brief Introduction - Matribhoomi Sewa Sanstha
‘Matribhoomi Sewa Sanstha’ (MSS) is a Public Charitable Trust incorporated under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 to work for the integrated development of the society.
About 8 years ago, Mr. Rakesh Kumar, a philanthropist and teacher having 22 years of experience in teaching primary level students, along with some of his dedicated colleagues had a dream to serve the motherland. They decided to cherish and follow the noble ideals that inspired the national struggle for freedom. Finally the foundation of an organization was laid and the organization started its work with the resolve to acquaint the people with the glorious history of their beloved country Bharat.
With effect from 13th July 2020, ‘Matribhoomi Sewa Sanstha’ is a non-profit, non-governmental voluntary organization incorporated under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 and has also got registered with various government ministries/ institutions such as the Income Tax Department, Niti Aayog, Ministry of Corporate Affairs etc. as required for an NGO. MSS is providing its charitable services for the welfare of people-in-need at large and to uplift them by providing various welfare activities directly by the organization or indirectly by ways like, support of central and state governments under their different schemes of grant-in-aid and Income Generation Programmes for Self Help Groups in different areas such as education, health, environment, sanitation and more through awareness, training, motivation, research, action and implementation.
MSS is working with body, mind and wealth to make an ideal society which cares for good health, good education, good environment, development of sense of respect to our ancestors and keeps the Nation First. Presently hundreds of people are associated with our mission and take part in the decision-making process during planning, design, monitoring and evaluation for greater transparency in order to achieve smooth implementation of the projects. Our dedicated teams are working with enthusiasm and passion across the country.
The positive character of the people of our country, high ideals of morality, incomparable cultural education heritage, rich traditions and exemplary patriotism have been renowned all over the world. We are proud of our forefathers, who have shown us the path of service to humanity. Taking inspiration from the struggle stories related to the successful lives of the country's revolutionaries and other great men, this organization is engaged in motivating the people to become good citizens.
MSS is committed towards the deeds for preparing such great citizens who discharge their duties considering national interest as paramount through mind, deeds and words and make every possible effort to make their beloved nation the best country in the world.
Chronicles of 'Matribhoomi Sewa Sanstha': A Journey of Empathy and Impact
2013:
Witnessing the devastation caused by floods in Uttarakhand, ‘Matribhoomi Sewa Sanstha’ sprang into action. With the unwavering support of students and colleagues, the organization sent not one but two fully-loaded trucks carrying vital relief materials to aid the flood victims, offering a glimmer of hope in their darkest hour.
2013:
Instilling the values of courage and patriotism in young hearts, ‘Matribhoomi Sewa Sanstha’ embarked on an enlightening journey with children from economically weaker sections (EWS). The children were taken to the native places of the Bravehearts of the Kakori incident, immersing them in the rich tapestry of India's freedom struggle and inspiring a deep sense of pride in their heritage.
2015:
Continuing their mission to educate and enlighten, the organization organized a transformative trip for children from EWS to Hussainiwala, Firozpur (Punjab). The trip included a poignant visit to the memorial site of the last rites of Sardar Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev. Moreover, the children also had the privilege to explore the ancestral home at Khatkar Kalan (Punjab), connecting them to the illustrious past of our national heroes.
2016:
Recognizing the power of collaboration, ‘Matribhoomi Sewa Sanstha’ convened a seminal meeting with social workers hailing from diverse corners of the country. This momentous gathering aimed to establish a common platform for performing deeds of national interest, uniting efforts for the greater good of the nation.
2017:
Committed to creating a meaningful impact at the grassroots level, the organization embraced the village of Jalalabad in Shahjahanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, under the aegis of Rashtra Swabhiman Trust. This adoption marked the beginning of a transformative journey, encompassing education, healthcare, livelihood, and empowering the local community.
2018:
Honoring the legacy of a true patriot and social activist, ‘Matribhoomi Sewa Sanstha’ organized an impactful event in Delhi. The event served as a tribute to the indelible contributions of Late Sh. Rajiv Dixit, exemplifying the organization's reverence for those who worked tirelessly for the welfare of society.
2018:
In a poignant display of respect and gratitude, the organization felicitated the descendants of the Great Bravehearts of the Freedom Movement in a grand function. The event was graced by distinguished individuals such as Ashfaq Ullah Khan (Grandson of Ashfaqe Ulla Khan), Vijay Singh Sisodia (descendant of Durga Singh Gehlot), Subhash Tope (descendant of Tatya Tope), Deshraj Raghav (Son of Captain Phool Singh from 3/9 Guerrilla Regiment of INA), Raghunath Pandey (descendant of Mangal Pandey), Anil Thapar (descendant of Sukhdev), and several others. The solemn occasion paid tribute to their ancestors' valor and sacrifice, fostering a strong sense of unity and heritage.

Shri Rakesh Kumar, the visionary founder of 'Matribhoomi Sewa Sanstha,' was born on 06.04.1977 in the picturesque village of Barnaav, District-Ara (Bhojpur), Bihar. His journey of empowerment began with humble origins.
Shri Rakesh Kumar thirst for knowledge and his desire to make a positive impact on society were evident from an early age. His father, Late Sh. Hazari Pandit, a hardworking laborer, instilled in him the values of perseverance and dedication.
